Hotham Hall is a Georgian country house on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, with parkland and woodland all around. It was built in 1720 and has been carefully restored since 2020. Today it hosts weddings, parties, corporate events, and overnight stays, with our own team looking after every guest.

Three centuries in the making
Our story
Hotham Hall was built in 1720 by William Burton and has stood at the heart of this East Yorkshire estate for more than three centuries. In 2020, a careful and considered restoration began, bringing new life to the Georgian Hall whilst keeping its original character.
Today, the estate extends across over 120 acres of formal gardens, open parkland, and ancient woodland. The Hall itself, with its high ceilings and original panelling, is as impressive as ever, and the clock tower still chimes. Alongside it, The Carriage House has been thoughtfully restored from the original stable block into a destination in its own right, complete with twelve luxury guest suites and a series of beautifully appointed event spaces.
Wander the formal gardens or discover the lily pond and woodland lake. Every corner of Hotham Hall has a story to tell, and every visit adds one of your own.
